Milou Lommelen
Founder
Hi, I am Milou, and I have called Ghana home since 2017. When searching for a school for my daughter, I discovered there wasn’t an option that aligned with my belief in holistic education—nurturing the whole child. Contemplating homeschooling, I ultimately chose to establish a school to extend these benefits to more children, because I believe quality education should be available to all children!

Mieke Hortulanus
Advisory Board Netherlands
Hi, I’m Mieke. I’m a primary school teacher in the Netherlands. Every year I come to Ghana for a few weeks, which feels like my 2nd home. I have 31 years of experience in education. For me, it is very important that a child is cognitively and socially emotionally nurtured and in balance in order to be a happy human being. I believe that every child should be allowed to be in her or his own way and learn in a way that suits her or him. I’m happy that I was able to contribute to the start of Tumi International School in Ghana and that I will remain involved in the development of the school from the Netherlands.
